That's a great point about the fallacy of foundationalism. I find it resonates with Dr Jay Lifton's concept of "sacred science," whereby cults or religious groups essentially deify their particular sacred text and elevate it, to the point that it cannot be questioned or doubted. As an ex-evangelical, I see this clearly in the Christian practice of bibliolatry.
