I’ve been writing a lot also on how difficult it is to leave religion behind, and on the topic of deconstruction/reconstruction. It formed our very identities and worldviews; religion is all-pervasive, and is incredibly difficult thing from which to disentangle. But — significantly — leaving it behind provides a wonderful opportunity to form a totally new identity, freed from the strictures of dogma.
