I agree 100% with what you’re saying; I’ve written on this subject also and have made the argument that essentially what Trump is running is a giant personality political cult, which includes a huge number of white, evangelical Christians. They’re happy a) to overlook Trump’s many moral failings and b) provide religious cover as long as c) he’s delivering on their agenda, part of which you lay out in this article.
